Based at the Baglan Bay Innovation Centre, Armadillo Metal Coatings are pioneers in a new age of corrosion and tarnish protection. Their patented technology provides long lasting defence using smart release corrosion inhibitors.
The company is a spin-out from Swansea University and the result of a 4-year research project with the Royal Mint, which was looking for anti-tarnishing/anti-corrosion technology. Their solution is a nano technology drop-in process and, with the help of Innovate UK and international research, the company has identified new applications for their revolutionary technology.
To help Armadillo grow, Neath Port Talbot Council worked with the company to identify suitable premises. John Luckett, Technology Manager, believes the Baglan Bay Innovation Centre is perfect for their needs and the right size for their current stage of our development.
